In this two-part video, Abel’s Applications Specialist Mitch Gross provides an overview of Arri’s new MMB-1 mattebox and MFF-1 follow focus system, specifically designed for today’s digital cameras. In the first segment, he gives a complete overview of all of the parts and their functionality and then demonstrates their use on the Sony EX1. In the second segment, the applications for larger Digital Cinema cameras is explored, as he demonstrates the Arri accessories on a RED One camera.

Part I — Arri Accessories

In this video, Mitch provides an overview of the complete Arri MMB-1 mattebox / follow focus system. You’ll learn about the features and options for the MMB-1 mattebox, the MFF-1 follow focus, the MBP-1 adjustable baseplate system, as well as other accessories. These devices are explored in detail individually, and then as a complete shooting kit on a Sony EX1 camera.

Part II — Arri For Red

Here, Mitch shows the new Arri accessories set up on a RED One camera. These versatile devices can be used on a variety of camera systems both on their own or in conjunction with other accessory systems. He also shows the new Abel Universal Rod Adapter for mounting lightweight 15mm accessories to studio 19mm rod supports.
