The Phantom HD and 65 high-speed cameras from Vision Research topped the list of millimeter’sVanguard Award winners for 2007, which were recently announced. This prestigious, industry honor showcases the year’s most promising new technologies.

Vanguard’s judge D.W. Leitner cited their stunning image quality and ability to shoot high-speed, high-resolution images as the reasons for the cameras making the list. The millimeter announcement also stated that the cameras had been “beautifully adapted from scientific to cine use by Abel Cine Tech.”

Other Vanguard Award winners include the Red Digital Cinema Red One camera, Silicon Imaging SI-2K and S2-2K Mini cameras, Panasonic AJ-HPX3000 2/3″ P2 HD camcorder, Sony PMW-EX1 XDCAM EX HD camcorder and SxS flash-memory card and Sony BVM-L230 HD LCD monitor, all of which you can find at Abel.
